01Challenge

Every customer had a different price, and orders still came by phone.

GMI Trading imports tens of thousands of SKUs from hundreds of brands. Inventory changes hourly, prices depend on each account, product data lived in the LodDepot ERP and images were scattered across Azure, Shopify and AWS. A standard storefront could not handle it.

02Solution

A decoupled storefront built around live wholesale pricing.

We built a headless platform from scratch: a Next.js frontend, a GraphQL/Express backend on PostgreSQL and aggressive Redis caching. It syncs with the ERP every hour, serves per-customer prices and gives GMI’s team a full admin panel for products, collections and content.

What we built

  • Dynamic B2B pricing

Prices per customer account, with rate, volume and free-goods discounts.

  • Hourly ERP sync

Products, inventory and categories pulled from LodDepot automatically.

  • Smart collections

Rule-based collections that rebuild themselves as new products arrive.

  • Unified image pipeline

Images from Azure, Shopify and AWS moved into one S3 storage.

  • Wholesale ordering

Bulk quantities, unit conversion, PO numbers and order history.

  • SEO for 10K+ products

Sitemaps, clean URLs and redirects for migrated pages.
